In the early days of specialty coffee, it was difficult to find well made coffee equipment. Instead of searching the globe for a quality tamper, we designed one ourselves. We have been using the EC tamper at all of our shops for over 18 years. It is balanced slightly towards the piston and is very comfortable on the palm and fingers.  

The tampers are two pieces, the piston and the handle, which thread together seamlessly. Handles come in two lengths and have been machined from 6061-T6 aluminum; the pistons come in flat and convex options and have been machined from 303 stainless steel. This tamper was designed and made in the USA.Â
