Marcala la Paz is a small town in the mountains of Honduras, about 500km to the west of the capital city, Tegucigalpa. The town is known for it's rugged terrain and rich soil, perfect for coffee farming, where the community in Los Planes has been producing coffee since in the mid century, and began exporting it in the '90s when specialty coffee started gaining interest in North America.
This coffee is simple and elegant without being to complicated, malic acid gives notes of green apple that lift traditional flavors of the region and these particular varietals: chocolate, hazelnut, and honey. The body that bourbon is famous for, offers structure, for a cup that is uncomplicated, delicious, and very drinkable.Â
