Rómulo Huancas - Peru

Finca la Mitad del Corazón (The Middle of the Heart) is situated in the Andes mountains above La Coipa, a small coffee town to the north of Cajamarca. The farm is nestled at 1,900m above sea level, where extreme weather conditions encourage slow maturation, fermentation, and drying of the coffee after it has been hand picked and washed. These little details of the climate, combined with knowledge and skill of Rómulo Huancas have produced one of the best coffee we've tasted from this region in recent memory. Sweet, clean, balanced, with good body and acid structure make for a coffee that is good for morning, afternoon, and evening on just about any brew method. We hope you like it as much as we do.
